Decided to enroll my child to a phonics enrichment class at zoo phonics since it is within 5 mins walking distant from my house. I chose the Saturday class which includes 30 mins of mandarin although it's more expensive than the Sunday class that is only 1 hr without this 30 mins of mandarin. Also should we not be able to make it for the Saturday class, we were told that we can make up on Sunday. One parent has to accompany their child every lesson. There will be phonics, art work, music and movement, mandarin and snack time. Phonics are based on the different animals and their names, the different letter shapes and sounds that each letter makes. Art work are simple painting and pasting usually with the help of the parents. The 30 min mandarin class is conducted by China teachers and there is also music and movement in Chinese songs. Snacks are brought by ourselves and not provided by the school. Looking forward to my child progressing to the next level.
