My 3 year old son is rather active, always running around and trying to be funny. So we thought why not let him put these into good use by trying out the My gym classes where its more structured and able to learn something at the same time. The class will start off with some free play where the kids will be given time to explore the area themselves. Next was circle time where the parents and their children will gather in a circle and we do some warm up exercises together. Good bonding time together. Then come the gym time where every child is taught how to make use of each of their gym equipment. Every equipment actually has a learning objective e.g. learning how to balance, roll, maneuver around obstacles, swinging, climbing ... There is also story time followed by some bubble time which the children loved the most.
My Gym focus a lot more on their gym equipment related activities like swinging from a trapeze, holding and walking on the stilts, balancing and walking through the balancing beam, baby swing and walking up and down the steps. All these activities are of cos assisted but as every one has to take their turns to do these activities, the kids waiting are left idle. If they have different kids split into working out at different station will be perfect to shorten the idling time. Maybe for bigger classes they have, I am not too sure. There will be of cos other activities like singing and dancing and also free play time. Initially my kid would cry but after going more often, he becomes more familiar with the activities and starts to enjoy more.
