    Interesting trilingual classes

    April 13, 2016 8:09:17 PM

I am currently attending the trial classes (3 classes, one English, one Chinese and one Japanese) at Happy Train Bugis (the tampines branch only has English and Chinese). My child is 7 months old.

Even though my child has stranger anxiety, the teachers are really cheerful, patient and loving - my child warmed up to them really quickly. In the classroom, the class is fast-paced, with a large variety of activities. I particularly love the fact that they use many handmade activity kits. My baby girl likes them and sometimes whines when the toys get taken away. overall, I think the speed of the activities is a tad fast, but suitable for baby's short attention span.

one of the most important things is that the teachers pay attention to each and every child. Even if the child is drinking milk / being carried by the parent, the teacher will try to include the child in all the activities.

however, the location of the centre is not that convenient - parents with strollers may find it difficult accessing the place as the lift to the centre is relatively small.

    Good experience and exposure

    May 27, 2015 4:13:33 PM

My kid is almost 5 and has been attending the classes at Happy Train for a few years by now. The teachers in the centre are awesome, and we're very assured of the quality of the teachers as the centre management does due diligence in their training and exercise probation or sort-of to ensure that the teachers are up to mark.
Apart from this, the activities conducted in each lesson (tri-language alternating between English, Chinese and Japanese) are well-planned and provides very good exposure for the kids. It is almost in essence, packing activities that a kid would be going through in an actual pre-school into the hour or hour plus, such that within the short time, the child gets exposed and experiences a taste of various activities ranging from Crafts, motor skills, language, music and movement, flash cards, etc.
I would definitely recommend Happy Train to anyone. I think the centre also does pure Japanese enrichment and I guess should be a good choice for those who has one of the parent as Japanese.
